There was massive excitement surrounding Toxic when the project was first announced, with Yash in the lead role. The film generated strong buzz due to Yash’s huge pan-India popularity after KGF and the decent promotional material released earlier.
However, recent developments have led to growing uncertainty among moviegoers. After the reported postponement from its June 4 release slot, the momentum around Toxic appears to have slowed down considerably.
Fans were expecting the makers to immediately announce a fresh release date or at least provide regular updates about the project’s progress. Instead, the silence from the team has triggered speculation on social media, with many beginning to question the film’s current status.
The confusion has increased further because Yash is also reportedly preparing for the promotional campaign of Ramayana, another massive project expected to release within the next few months.
KVN Productions has also found some relief with Vijay becoming CM, as it could ease the release of the long pending Jana Nayagan. Despite delays and leaks, the film still carries huge buzz after Vijay’s record breaking election victory. If the film works big at the box office, it could also benefit Toxic significantly.
Since both films are high-profile pan-India ventures, fans are curious about how the actor plans to balance the schedules and promotions. Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma qureshi, Tara sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth play the leading ladies in this big budget film directed by Geetu Mohandas.
