Mythri Distributors bagged the Nizam Rights of Ram Charan’s Peddi. They are paying a whopping 63 Crore for the rights. The distributor will pay 63 Crore but the recoverable amount will vary based on the Permissions for the Premieres and Hikes.
If everything is in place, it is just three crore refundable. If there is a problem for the Premieres or Hikes, 5 Crore will be refundable.
Whatever is the deal, 63 Crore is a humungous amount. Mythri suffered three back to back blows in distribution in about an year.
They lost big on Hari Hara Veeramallu, Rajasaab, and Ustaad Bhagat Singh. Veeramallu and Rajasaab are just distribution deals but still money gets struck until the producers make another films.
Ustaad Bhagat Singh is Mythri’s own film and so, there is a loss there. So, they have to deliver with Peddi any cost. It will be a cash flow problem as well as Reputation Problem.
Even though they are not completely responsible, Mythri was blamed for not handling Rajasaab Premieres properly. So, they have to land Peddi smoothly so that they regain their reputation in the fandoms as well.
