Tamil Nadu public has selected a new chief minister in the form of Thalapathy Vijay who scripted history in the recent assembly election. He appears to be a man on a mission already as he is speaking several administrative changes and decisions at a large scale.
At the fundamental level, Vijay is proving to be a much better philanthropic politician in general terms and compared to Andhra Pradesh counterpart, YS Jagan who is the former CM.
Jagan had a very vindictive approach after he became the chief minister for the first time as he wanted to undo whatever good work that was carried out by the previous Chandrababu administration. This began with the destruction of the Praja Vedika building in Amaravati, followed by cancellation of Anna Canteen program.
The Anna Canteen program, which was providing quality food at very nominal prices to the common public was inhumanely tarnished by Jagan. This was outrightly rejected by the public as no one understood the need for Jagan to cancel a food service program just because it was initiated by the previous CM.
Coming to Tamil Nadu, Vijay is proving to be a completely different CM altogether as he is effectively carrying forward the Amma Canteen program. This program was first introduced by Jayalalitha and later carried by Stalin. Even the new CM Vijay understands the need for this philanthropic program and he’s sticking to it.
The first sign of a positive politician is his ability to understand ground level needs. This was precisely where Jagan had stuttered. It’s good to see Vijay assessing the situation and administrating accordingly.
