Mahesh–Neel Combo Practically Impossible Now?

Following the release of the Dragon glimpse, industry gossip quickly picked up momentum about a possible collaboration between Mahesh Babu and Prashanth Neel.

Reports claimed that Mahesh might join hands with Neel after completing Varanasi creating huge excitement among fans who have been waiting to see the superstar in a massive action entertainer directed by the KGF filmmaker.

Interestingly, Neel recently hinted that Dragon could mark the end of his signature dark action phase for a while. However, despite the growing buzz, the practical chances of this combination happening anytime soon appear quite low.

The primary reason is scheduling. Neel is strongly expected to begin work on Salaar 2 immediately after Dragon ( probably two parts ). Since the sequel already carries enormous expectations, the director is unlikely to delay it for another project.

Mahesh Babu also seems packed with commitments. Earlier reports suggested that he may collaborate with Sandeep Reddy Vanga for a future film after his ongoing projects. If that plan materializes, Mahesh’s lineup could remain locked for the next few years.

Because of these factors, the Mahesh and Neel project currently looks more like speculation than a confirmed reality. Even if discussions are genuinely happening behind the scenes, the collaboration may take considerable time before officially moving forward.
