Video: What Is Gross, Nett, and Share?

Gulte.com has started a Special Feature called Monday Stories which analyses the Box Office Performance of every film that released the earlier week. We have made this special video to ensure people understand the basic terminology of the Film Collections.

Gross: Gross is nothing but total collection of a film. However it minuses Maintenance charges (5 Rupees per ticket)

Gross = Total Tickets Sold * No of Tickets Sold – Maintenance Charges

Nett: Nett is the Total Gross minus applicable GST. GST is 5% on tickets priced upto 100 and 18% on tickets priced more than 100.

Share: Share is Nett minus Rent or Applicable Percentage. Theaters in AP and Telangana are soon navigating into Percentage System and so there will be no Rentals going forward.

Watch the Video for clear explanation.
