Peddi Could’ve Been Better Without These Cuts?

Buchi Babu Sana is enjoying the success of his new directorial titled Peddi, starring Ram Charan in the lead role. The director marked his debut with Uppena and then delivered a pan-India blockbuster, which is now the talking point in every film circle.

However, of late, it is being realised that Buchi Babu initially had the fear about runtime and decided to chop some important scenes on the edit table. With growing concerns about the runtime, Buchi Babu seems to have taken that decision.

Before the film’s release, Buchi Babu openly stated that he was clueless as to which scene to remove from the final cut. However, owing to the length concerns, he cut off some fun scenes featuring Jagapathi Babu and Ram Charan.

In a recent interview, Jagapathi Babu revealed that there are some interesting scenes revolving around Charan’s Pelli Choopulu that he spoils. Additionally, there seem to be some scenes strengthening the bond between the characters.

However, they could not make it to the final cut. It is also believed that Buchi did not include a flashback, establishing the motive behind Jagapathi Babu trying hard to get the train to halt in their village because of the length concerns. Jaggu is not happy as Buchi’s length concerns are not entirely justified.

Apart from these, Charan cycling with Gadha is also chopped off along with some other scenes in the village. Today, Buchi is facing criticism that he could have established certain things pretty well, but could not do it with focus on unnecessary and irrelevant sequences.

Had Buchi not feared the length concerns, probably, the chopped-off drama would have elevated the film further. Even now, the team can try adding those scenes to further improve the film’s result.
