Superstar Mahesh Babu is currently working with director SS Rajamouli for the prestigious film Varanasi. The film is creating a big sensation already with its pre-release buzz.
Prithviraj Sukumaran, who is playing the negative lead role in the film, recently shared his experience from the film’s sets where Rajamouli went upto 90+ takes for a single shot in the film, which proves that he is a tough task master and a perfectionist.
“I am not at all exaggerating but this happened for real. Mahesh and I were even joking about it. I can not tell which shot it is, but there is one particular shot for which it took us almost 90+ takes. Rajamouli was not at all happy with it and he told, lets take a break and try again. When we were eating, suddenly, they told us it was ready, and we went to do it, but he was not happy. The executive producers were worrying about the delay but then finally, he said okay for the shot,” said Prithviraj.
Oftentimes, when we hear similar things about Rajamouli, it feels a little exaggerated. Even NTR also told during the shoot of RRR, the director went upto 17 takes for a single shot in Naatu Naatu song, detailing the perfection he displays.
Although the fans call it madness, some say that it is ovrdoing. But, Rajamouli never disappointed us with his films and probably, because of this perfection and attention to detail, he is what he is today.
Varanasi is bankrolled by Durga Arts banner and the film will release next year.
