Rajinikanth’s Biggest Fan Anirudh Is On Duty Again

One of the biggest reasons why Superstar Rajinikanth’s 2023 blockbuster Jailer exceeded all trade expectations and created a box office havoc is numero uno composer Anirudh Ravichander’s trademark background score that has elevated slow-burn action sequences into whistle-worthy goosebump moments in theatres.

Three years later, the formidable combination of Rajinikanth and Anirudh is back again to deliver a double dose of mass euphoria with the sequel which is getting ready to hit the screens on October 15. The makers have unveiled a brief teaser earlier today and Anirudh once again proves to be a backbone for the sequel. He seems to have done heavy lifting with his signature style score in the sequel.

The teaser opens with a chilling throwback to the villain Varman (Vinayakan), who laughs off his demise by warning of a massive, unstoppable global syndicate coming for the Jailer. The teaser then shows a brief, stylized glimpses of a massive ensemble cast before framing a shadow of Superstar Rajinikanth walking out of a luxury car onto a runway.

The moment the teaser shifts toward Rajinikanth’s arrival, Anirudh drops an explosive, updated rendition of his iconic background score. Though it is a brief glimpse, Anirudh delivers bigtime to augment the hype on the sequel.

As soon as the teaser was out, social media platforms are abuzz with Anirudh’s electrifying work. Despite getting postponed several times and facing repeated rumours about cameo roles, Jailer 2 commands huge hype because of the hit combination.

The teaser has completely set social media ablaze, promising a massive box office showdown for Tiger Muthuvel Pandian. Backed by Sun Pictures and produced by Kalanithi Maran, Jailer 2 is directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar.
