Salman Khan’s upcoming film Maatrubhumi has landed in fresh trouble even after the makers reportedly made several changes suggested during the censor process. The film is still waiting for clearance, leaving its release plans uncertain.
According to reports, the CBFC is yet to issue a certificate despite multiple rounds of discussions. The delay has surprised many as the team was believed to have addressed the major objections.
The makers were expecting the film to move ahead smoothly after implementing the required modifications. However, the certification process has continued longer than anticipated.
With the release date drawing closer, the uncertainty is beginning to worry the producers. Promotional activities and distribution plans could also be affected if the delay continues.
The film is directed by Apoorva Lakhia and features Chitrangada Singh alongside Salman Khan. It is based on the Battle of Galwan, making it a sensitive subject that is likely receiving extra scrutiny.
For now, the entire team is waiting for the final word from the censor board. Whether Maatrubhumi secures clearance in the coming days or faces further hurdles remains to be seen.
