Will Gatta Kusthi Sequel Repeat Its Magic in Telugu?

Gatta Kusthi is a super hit Tamil film that was released in 2022. Starring Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi in the leads, the film got a sequel, which was released recently. Going by the reports in trade, the sequel is bigger than the first part, ensuring a blockbuster status to the franchise. The film was released in Telugu also where the first part didn’t work.

The first part did not work well at the telugu box office. But at the same time, with the second part doing well at the ticket windows, there is a plan to release the second part in Telugu. It’ll be a dubbed version and we have to see to what extent the sequel will impress the audiences.

The film’s plot is that Veera has a preconceived set of criteria for what he wants in a bride. However, he ends up unexpectedly marrying a woman who is the complete opposite of his expectations. Aishwarya plays a wrestler in the film, and the second part is all about the hero keeping his promise to his wife in supporting her wrestling career. Despite some reviews pointing out the flaws, the general audiences largely emraced the movie.

While the first part made an amount of 16 crore rupees in its lifetime in Tamil, the second part collected 19 crore rupees in just three days. It clearly shows that the second part is working out pretty well at the box office.

Directed by Chella Ayyavu, the film’s franchise was jointly produced by Ishari K. Ganesh, Vishnu Vishal and Ishan Saksena through the companies Vels Film International, Vishnu Vishal Studioz and IVY Entertainment.
