One of the most anticipated films in recent times, The Odyssey, which has legendary Christopher Nolan at the director’s helm is releasing worldwide on July 17. The film had its World Premier last night with the principal cast and crew participating in the same.
Now let us have a look at the kind of early reviews and reactions that this film could generate at the global premieres. The first reactions from some of the leading film journalists, and reviewers is out now.
ScreenRant: “A must-see theatrical experience of our generation.”
Variety: “in an epic way, The Odyssey feels like the Christopher Nolan take on ‘Hamilton.'”
/Film: “A grounded (but faithful) take on the epic myth, with some clever revisionist flair.”
It needs to be said that these early reactions from the press premier that were held earlier or largely positive in nature, and this is an encouraging update for this film.
The film desperately needed this positive push at this point in time, considering that its recent trailer which was released recently happens to be the most dislike trailer on a YouTube in history. This film had a significant negative impression before the release due to the casting choices and also visual appeal.
But these premieres and early reactions to the same have been very positive in nature. This will ultimately help the cause of the film in a big way, and that is specially what this Christopher Nolan film needed roughly 10 days before the release.
