Satyadev’s Rao Bahadur is one of the recent Telugu films. Directed by Venkatesh Maha and presented by Mahesh Babu, the film received a positive reception from audiences. Interestingly, there is now attention to the film from the international circuit. Reportedly, executives from several production houses watched the film and expressed interest in it. Most likely, the film might get remade into other international languages.
Venkatesh Maha earlier delivered hit films C/O Kancharapalem and Uma Maheshwara Ugra Roopasya. Rao bahadur team initially promoted the film at Cannes but could not submit it because they had not completed the film in time. Now, the team wants to gear up with the attention from the international circuit.
Since the release of the film in the Telugu states, there has been a good reception from audiences, which is also boosting the confidence of executives at internationally renowned production houses. They want to pick up the film for international markets, but are torn between remaking it and dubbing it.
With the growing recognition of Telugu cinema in the international circuit, dubbing the film in foreign languages will be a good idea. But then, if big stakeholders are on board, it will help all of them in remaking with an international cast and crew. More details on this is awaited.
