Vijay Devarakonda’s upcoming period drama Ranabaali has piqued the curiosity of moviegoers because of the interesting historical backdrop set in the pre-Independence era. The leaked visuals from the shooting sets have further amplified the hype on the film.
Directed by Taxiwala fame Rahul Sankrityan, the film was initially scheduled to hit theaters worldwide on September 11. However, recent reports hint that the makers have decided to push the theatrical release to a new date. Post-production work and other formalities have reportedly prompted the production team to aim for a festive season.
Sources revealed that the producers are now aiming to release the period actioner during either the Dasara or Diwali festival windows. If Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film Vishwambhara misses the Dussehra race, Ranabaali may arrive on October 16.
Alternatively, the team is strongly considering a grand Diwali release scheduled for November 6. The makers feel that the film of such massive scale and huge budget requires a festival boost to secure strong openings across all territories. More clarity on the release plans is expected very soon.
Director Rahul Sankrityan and Vijay Deverakonda previously delivered a commercial success with supernatural thriller Taxiwala. Reunited after several years, their current collaboration carries massive expectations among trade experts and fans
National Crush Rashmika is sharing screen space with Vijay for the first since their marriage. Renowned Hollywood actor Arnold Vosloo, famous for The Mummy, plays the formidable main antagonist.
The background score and songs are composed by the acclaimed Bollywood musical duo Ajay-Atul. Jointly produced by Mythri Movie Makers and T-Series, the film boasts top-notch production values.
