Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is the most awaited Indian film and is growing bigger with each passing day. Starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana, the two-part epic is all over the news.
The latest report is that Sony Pictures has come on board and will distribute the film internationally. As per the deal, Sony will help the film reach international markets in a big way, similar to Hollywood releases. Reports also suggest that Sony is planning a unique promotional plan to increase the film’s visibility.
As per reports, The shocking aspect is that Sony will spend a staggering Rs 235 crore on the international promotions of the film. Apart from this, the makers will add another Rs 140 crore for these promotions, taking the total to a massive Rs 375 crore.
This kind of money on publicity is never unheard of in Indian cinema before. One can understand the makers are hellbent on making Ramayana a never-before experience for the audience worldwide. This move clearly shows the makers’ ambition to position Ramayana on an international level.
On the other hand, Ramayana received huge attention at San Diego Comic-Con, where the team showcased the project on a global platform. Ramayana will have top-notch visual effects, IMAX presentation, and music by A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer.
The trailer, which was supposed to be released today, was postponed to a later date due to the unknown reasons. Now, all eyes are on the trailer of the film, as it can only make or break the biggie.
