Spider-Man: Brand New Day has taken the Indian box office by storm, registering a phenomenal ₹80 crore gross on its opening day. With this achievement, the film has become the biggest Hollywood opener ever in India.
The opening has surprised trade analysts as the film witnessed outstanding collections across major markets, proving once again that Spider-Man remains one of the most loved superheroes among Indian audiences.
The Telugu states played a key role as the film recorded an impressive ₹9 crore gross on day one, highlighting the massive fan following enjoyed by the franchise all over.
Spider-Man is creating similar waves internationally as reports suggest that the film is heading towards a record-breaking collection of $70–75 million in North America with just previews. The opening weekend is currently projected to cross a staggering $325 million globally.
With such an extraordinary start, trade predicts that the film will continue its dream run in the coming days. It is also likely to affect the theatrical run of Telugu releases Chennai Love Story, Srinivasa Mangapuram, and Newton’s 3rd Law in the days to come.
