‘Thalapathy’ Vijay is back and this time he turned Master. He is a professor in a college who doesn’t spare evil. He flexes his muscles and beats goons. This is a full meal from Vijay to his fans who have been expecting a commercial potboiler from him.
Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, whose last was critically acclaimed Khaidi with Karthi, has unveiled his mass strength. He understood the pulse of Vijay’s image and conceived such strong hero-elevation scenes. The teaser gives a glimpse of those briefly.
It is Vijay versus Vijay. The face-off between Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi seems to be standing out. Going by the teaser, Lokesh has worked out a strong chemistry between the protagonist and the antagonist. That sets the tone and mood for the Master.
Anirudh’s background score works well. On the whole, Vijay’s Master seems to be striking a chord with masses. Let’s wait and watch.
