Megastar Chiranjeevi’s most awaited film Vishwambhara has been one of the most talked-about projects among Mega fans. The film is directed by Vassishta, who made an impressive debut with Bimbisara, starring Nandamuri Kalyan Ram. Vishwambhara created strong hype when it was announced, but VFX negativity and the lack of regular updates has disappointed Mega fans to some extent. Fans have been eagerly waiting for clarity on the film’s release.
Now, as per the latest buzz, there seems to be some change in the film’s release plans. If Vishwambhara’s pending works, including VFX work and post-production activities, are completed on time, the makers are reportedly looking at a December release.
However, a December release appears to be mostly not possible at this stage, considering the amount of work that still needs to be completed. The film has extensive VFX and post-production work, and the makers are unlikely to rush the final output. Meanwhile, there are several other films lined up in December. Prabhas Fauzi, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s NBK 111 and Nagarjuna’s King 100 are set to arrive in December and make year-ending box-office clash very interesting.
Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi’s other much-awaited film Kaaka, directed by Bobby and produced by Toxic makers, KVN Productions, is gearing up for a Sankranthi release. If Vishwambhara arrives in December and Kaaka releases during Sankranthi, Chiranjeevi could have two major releases within a gap of just one month. This has naturally raised eyebrows in trade circles.
Because of this, the makers may also consider moving Vishwambhara to a pre-summer release if December becomes difficult. This would give the film more breathing space and avoid a very short gap between Chiranjeevi’s two releases.
For now, December remains a possibility for Vishwambhara rather than a confirmed release plan, and the final call is expected to depend mainly on the VFX and post-production progress.
