Quit Alcohol, Fell in Love, Broke-Up & Married: Vijay’s Romanchakam

Vijay Deverakonda delivered a fun-filled and personal speech at the pre-release event of Romanchakam. The actor spoke about his life, his bond with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and also gave an update on Rashmika Mandanna.

Vijay said that Rashmika is doing fine and recovering well. He added that she is enjoying her time at home.

The actor then spoke about his special bond with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, with whom he delivered the blockbuster Arjun Reddy. The film marked Sandeep’s directorial debut and went on to become a major turning point in both their careers.

Speaking about their relationship, Vijay said, “Sandeep and I share a very great and very rare bond. Sandeep is more than a friend, more than a brother.”

In his trademark humorous style, Vijay also said, “If Sandeep calls you and you don’t come, you are wasting your life.”

Vijay then looked back at his life since he was born in 1989. He said whether he had money or not, he had experienced different phases of life, including drinking Blender’s Pride and Glenfiddich, eventually quitting alcohol, falling in love, experiencing heartbreak and getting married.

Summing up his journey, Vijay said, “I was born in 1989. Whether I had money or not, I’ve had Blender’s Pride, Glenfiddich. I eventually quit drinking. I loved, got broken up, and got married. It’s been all Romanchakam.”

The speech, filled with Vijay’s trademark humour and candid comments, became one of the highlights of the Romanchakam pre-release event.
