Ganesh Chaturthi Special: Five Films Hit Next Week

Despite having multiple releases this week, the hungama at theatres in Telugu cinema is currently dull. However, there is a big anticipation that more than one film will become a hit among the new releases next week. We have five new releases lined up on the 10th and 11th of September, respectively, of which two are dubbed films. Ahead of Ganesh Chathurthi, movie lovers have a strong lineup.

Suhas and Soori starrer Mandaadi is gearing up for a grand release on the 10th of this month. This is the dubbed version of the Tamil film, and it features Soori in the lead role. The film could attract the attention of youth, since Suhas plays a very important role in the movie.

We also have Karthi’s Sardar 2 hitting the screens on the 10th of this month. The first part of the film became a big hit in both Telugu and Tamil. Now, the second part is also attracting special interest among the film circles. The film’s promotions have started, and Karthi will also attend the inauguration of Bigg Boss Season 10 today to promote Sardar 2.

The only straight release on September 10th in Telugu is Maremma, starring Madhav Bhupathiraju, Ravi Teja’s nephew. The film is carrying decent expectations because of the teaser and it being a rural drama. There is positive buzz around the film, and good word of mouth could make it a blockbuster.

On the 11th, we have two straight films. The first one is Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya’s Epic. The second one is Sumanth’s Mahendragiri Varahi. While Epic is already catching everyone’s interest because of the trailer, Mahendragiri Varahi also carries decent expectations.

Of all the movies, Epic will be the audiences’ first priority, based on the buzz and the hype it is carrying. Among the dubbed films, Sardar 2 will have an edge over Mandaadi 2. On the whole, all these titles look interesting.
