Modi Takes A Dig At ‘Angry Uncles’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a dig at his critics while speaking at the centenary celebrations of Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) in Delhi.

Addressing students, Modi said there are people who become “angry uncles” whenever the government starts a new project. According to him, their favourite question is, “What is the need for this?”

Modi said the same people had questioned projects such as the Statue of Unity, bullet trains, UPI, semiconductor initiatives and the new Parliament building.

He said India has now moved ahead despite such criticism and asked young people to focus on big dreams and contribute to the country’s growth.

The Prime Minister also compared the situation in India today with 2013 and said the country is now stronger economically, socially and globally.
