Monday Stories: Epic & Sardar 2 Failed, Mandaadi Surprises!

Bethleham Kudumba Unit grossed more than 305 Crore Worldwide and emerged as Malayalam industry’s Industry Hit film. The movie has collected 4.7 Crore Gross in the Telugu States. In which 3.75 Crore is from the Telugu Version.

Mythri released the film, bearing the Prints and Publicity expenses of close to 80 Lakhs. It is considered a success in Telugu as well.

Mirzapur was sensational at the box office in the first week and dipped a bit in the second weekend. It has collected around 220 Crore Gross in 10 days. It has to be see if it will touch the 300 Crore Gross mark.

Irumudi, by the end of its fourth weekend, has collected around 235 Crore Gross Worldwide. The movie slowed down a bit this weekend which is expected and probably, the run is coming to an end with the OTT release is also happening.

Nizam, the movie has collected 54.3 Crore with GST. In one week, the movie only added 60 Lakhs Share because in the fourth week, the Multiplexes only give 35% and Single Screens only give 30% as Share. Taking the Slowdown into consideration, the 60 Crore Share mark looks unlikely.

Hanuman Ansh is a sensation at the box office. The movie has collected around 265 Crore Gross Worldwide. On its 38th day (yesterday), it has registered its biggest ever Single Day collection with close to 28 Crore Gross in India. The Telugu Version is being released on September 18th.

Allari Naresh’s Ramba Oorvashi Menaka should collect 10 Crore Gross for breakeven but has collected only around 6 Crore Gross. That means another failure for Naresh.

Romanchakam has collected around 11 Crore Gross in its full run. The makers were in Table Profit with the sale of OTT and Music Rights. They released the movie on their own. So, these are good numbers but not to the range of brand ‘Vanga’.

Sardar 2 is a disaster of Epic Proportions collecting 20 Crore Gross Worldwide. Reliance Sridhar has done 10 Crore Business in Telugu. It has to do 20-22 Crore Gross for breakeven but did only 5 Crore Gross. Except for Nizam, Vizag, Krishna , rest of the areas were done for NRA. That means huge losses.

Mandaadi was done for 4.5 Crore Refundable Advance and 10% Commission by Mythri in both the Telugu States. The movie has collected around 6.55 Crore Gross in the first weekend. Trade is expecting the movie to collect a minimum of 15 Crore Gross in Telugu which will be superb.

Mahendragiri Varahi is an own release by the makers and has collected a mere 2 Crore Gross in Telugu States which will not even recover Prints and Publicity.

Maremma is a Own Release by the makers and it did not even recover the expenses

Epic was done for 7.8 Crore in AP+TS and the movie should collect 16 Crore Gross for Breakeven. But it has only collected 4.3 Crore Gross from both the Telugu States and 7.5 Crore Worldwide which means a big disaster. But Producer Naga Vamsi asserted his buyers that he would take absorb all the losses. So we will have to see!
