Suhas Wins Tamil Hearts With Mandaadi Performance

Suhas’ terrific and outstanding performance in Mandaadi has been receiving unanimous positive response. Suhas impressing Telugu audience isn’t news. But Suhas has won the hearts of Tamil audiences who fell for his raw, rustic and bold role. Suhas played Sattapuli, a negative role in Mandaadi opposite Soori. His negative role has emerged as one of the talking points among viewers, with many appreciating his screen presence and intensity.

Suhas usually play emotional roles and relatable characters. Coming out of his comfort zone, Suhas stepped into a darker space that is quite different from his usual style. At a time he himself was doing lead roles in Telugu, many wondered why Suhas chose a negative role in Mandaadi opposite a comedian-turned-hero Soori.

But Suhas efforts have paid off well. His performance is now being noticed by Tamil audiences, making the film a strong entry point for his Tamil cinema journey. This gives a huge spin to his career. It is really surprising to witness tamil audience unanimously supporting a non tamil actor without single complaint.

Now, Suhas may be flooded with offers from Kollywood. Thus, Suhas has smartly expanded his base. In future, his Telugu films where he play the lead may also get a chance to release in Tamil. All these possibilities opened up with Mandaadi and its phenomenal success. 

In fact, quite shockingly, Mandaadi has even beaten Karthi’s Sardaar 2. This shocked the trade too. One Karthi is a bigger proven hero with stardom and family lineage and the second is Sardaar 2 is a franchise and yet, Soori and Suhas starreer Mandaadi emerged as a box-office winner. With this, Mandaadi’s success creates bigger resound than usual hit. And this turned out to be another big advantage for Suhas. 

Kudos to director Mathimaran Pugazhendhi, Mandaadi gave Suhas an opportunity to break away from his familiar image. And this also paved a way for him in Tamil cinema.
