Sundeep Kishan’s heist and action-adventure Sigma marks the directorial debut of Jason Sanjay. Produced by Subaskaran under Lyca Productions, Sigma is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on October 2nd. The film’s trailer has been unveiled today.
Driven by betrayal, Sundeep Kishan’s character refuses to surrender and takes on a 500-crore drugs-and-gambling racket. With the help of his friends and an RJ he loves, he plans a major heist. But Reddy disrupts their plan, forcing him to rise again and fight back to achieve his goal.
Sundeep Kishan owns the screen with his stylish body language and energetic performance. Faria Abdullah has an important role and shares good chemistry with the lead actor. Sampath Raj looks convincing in the role of Reddy. Raju Sundaram adds humour, while Shiv Pandit, Anbu Thasan and Yog Japee are among the other notable actors.
Jason Sanjay has gone for a lively commercial treatment rather than keeping the film confined to a serious crime drama. Action and adventure occupy a major portion of the trailer, while comedy brings a lighter tone to the narrative. At the same time, the mother-son relationship appears to be the emotional anchor.
On the technical front, Sigma looks rich and contemporary. Krishnan Vasant’s cinematography gives the film a distinctive visual sheen. S Thaman’s background score injects considerable energy into the trailer, matching the scale of the sequences. The production itself carries the weight of Lyca Productions, with the visuals suggesting a sizeable canvas and lavish expenditure.
Mythri Movie Distributors LTD and NVR Cinema together are bringing the movie to the Telugu audiences, and the trailer has certainly generated enough enthusiasm before the release.
