Anil Ravipudi is busy giving the finishing touches to his new film, January 12 Vidudala. On the other hand, his much-awaited collaboration with KVN Productions for his next film is expected to be officially announced this week.
The project is already creating curiosity in industry circles, and it is said to be an animation-based project inspired by the epic Ramayana. We have now come to know that the pre-visualisation work is almost complete, while the background score for the first half has also been wrapped up.
These developments suggest that the team has been working on the project for some time and is aiming for a technically strong output.
He is mainly known for making commercial entertainers packed with comedy, action, and mass elements. Taking up an animated film based on a subject as familiar and culturally important as the Ramayana is a completely different challenge for the director.
In today’s cinema, audiences have seen major advancements in animation, AI, and VFX. Expectations for visual quality are therefore extremely high. If the film delivers a fresh visual experience and strong storytelling, it could open a new side of Anil as a filmmaker.
However, if the execution falls short, the experiment could also become a trolling point for the wrong reasons. Anil remains one of Telugu cinema’s established commercial directors, so expectations are naturally high.
With KVN Productions backing the project, the announcement itself is expected to create significant buzz. All eyes are now on how Anil handles this unusual and ambitious attempt.
