Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s most-awaited film Ranabaali, which is all set to hit the theatres on October 16, is going to have regular ticket pricing. It is learnt that the makers of Ranabaali have decided not to opt for a ticket price hike across both Telugu states. This comes as music to movie lovers and audiences who are waiting to watch the film on the big screen.
The decision continues Mythri Movie Makers’ pricing strategy seen with Irumudi. Advance bookings are expected to open smoothly, giving the film a wider reach among audiences.
The move could also benefit theatres and exhibitors, as affordable ticket prices may encourage better footfalls and in turn increase the revenue of theatres. Of late, skipping ticket price hikes has emerged as an effective marketing strategy for films. Already, it proved to be good for Ravi Teja’s Irumudi.
If Ranabaali gets positive word of mouth from premieres, the decision to keep ticket prices unchanged could work well for the film at the box office.
As there are reports of Venkatesh and Trivikram’s Adarsha Kutumbam: AK 47 getting postponed, Ranabaali will be the direct big Telugu release. Also Ranabaali clashes with superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 and let’s hope a feast unfolds in theatres.
