Will Disaster Hero Join Forces With Flop Director?

Yash and director PS Mithran have both faced major disappointments recently, but a possible collaboration between them is already creating fresh curiosity. Reports suggest that the two could revisit an adventure story that Mithran had narrated to Yash earlier.

Mithran had revealed during the promotions of Sardar 2 that he narrated an ambitious adventure film to Yash, describing it as something on the lines of Indiana Jones with a strong emotional core. The project did not move forward at the time due to scheduling issues, but the director reportedly remains keen on bringing it to life.

Mithran is not a filmmaker without a track record. His debut film Irumbu Thirai earned appreciation for its cybercrime thriller concept, while Sardar, starring Karthi, emerged as a successful spy thriller. Both films showed his ability to build commercial entertainers around interesting ideas.

However, his recent Sardar 2 reportedly failed to meet expectations, while Yash is also facing questions after the disappointing response to Toxic. With both coming off major setbacks, this could be a crucial project for them if the reported collaboration materialises.

Yash’s imposing screen presence, rugged look and ability to command attention make him a natural fit for a large scale adventure film. An Indiana Jones style story could offer him a different space from the action driven image audiences associate with him, while giving Mithran room to combine spectacle, suspense and emotion.

Despite their recent setbacks, the combination itself is enough to generate noise. Yash brings star power and a strong fan base, while Mithran has previously delivered films with distinctive concepts. If they can turn the adventure idea into a compelling screenplay, the project could become an interesting comeback opportunity for both.

For now, the collaboration is not officially confirmed. But if Yash and Mithran decide to take the project forward, their reunion could attract considerable attention even before the film goes on floors.
