Hanuman Ansh created box-office records all over the country. The film has been in news especially for its microscopic budget of just 2 crore and still managed to collect over Rs 400 crore world-wide. Such a sensational record holding biographical film has failed in Telugu majorly because of its poor planning, promotions and also could be the over-confidence given that the film witnessed sensational run elsewhere.
First, Hanuman Ansh arrived in Telugu theatres much later, two months after its original release. While the film originally released on August 7, 2026, the Telugu dubbed version hit the screens on October 9th. Initially, there was strong news that director Trivikram Srinivas is going to present the film in Telugu.
However, Trivikram dropped at the last minute for some unknown reasons and eventually, Hombale Films, the makers of Kantara, have released Hanuman Ansh in Telugu by teaming up with distributing partners such as Mythri Movie Makers, Geetha Arts and some other local distributors.
With no proper promotions and with no proper planning, the biographical devotional drama, Hanuman Ansh turned out to be a box-office failure. The makers should have created awareness about the film in various ways as Telugu audiences are not aware of Karoli Baba and his life. There are no solid promotions and the film is now struggling hard to pull footfalls to theatres in Telugu.
