Akkineni Nagarjuna, who is presenting the small film Itlu Arjun, appears to be unhappy with the way release plans of big films are affecting smaller films. His comments about postponements and a lack of clarity have left some wondering whether he is indirectly targeting big projects.
Itlu Arjun was initially scheduled to release on October 2. However, the film was later postponed to October 30 due to other major release, leaving its team with the challenge of keeping the buzz alive for nearly another month.
Speaking about the situation, Nagarjuna expressed concern over the lack of proper planning and clarity surrounding film releases. He pointed out that smaller films are forced to make difficult decisions when release schedules keep changing.
The uncertainty also puts pressure on teams, who must find ways to maintain audience interest until their films finally reach theatres. Nagarjuna’s remarks have sparked debate about whether the industry needs better coordination while announcing release dates.
Although Nagarjuna did not directly name any film, some industry observers believe his comments could be an indirect reference to Trivikram’s Aadarsha Kutumbam, which was supposed to come on October 2 and October 9 but was postponed at the last minute.
Whether Nagarjuna intended to target a particular film remains unclear. However, his comments have once again highlighted the challenges smaller movies face when release schedules keep changing.
