The Master of Postponements: AK 47 Hints Another Date

Adarsha Kutumbam is slowly earning the tag of a master of postponements. Despite not being a pan-India film or a big-budget spectacle, Venkatesh and Trivikram’s film has missed multiple release dates, testing the patience of Venky fans. After missing the October 2 and October 9 dates, the film has now hinted at another release date, with October 30 emerging as the likely target.

The film’s release date came up again during the success press meet of Jailer 2. Producer Naga Vamsi revealed that a new date had been finalised, but audiences had stopped believing release announcements after repeated delays. He said Hero Venkatesh would announce the date along with the trailer after returning from Ooty, where he is shooting for his January 12 Vidudala. The announcement is expected around October 21 or 22.

Though Naga Vamsi did not directly confirm the date, his comments strongly indicate that Adarsha Kutumbam is targeting October 30. However, Vishwak Sen’s Cult and Nagarjuna-presented Itlu Arjun are already lined up for the same date. It remains to be seen whether they move to November or take on the competition.

With barely two weeks left, the team will have to speed up promotions, including the release of pending songs, the trailer launch and the pre-release event, if the October 30 plan holds.

Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, Adarsha Kutumbam 47 has generated good interest among trade circles, particularly because it marks the first collaboration between the star director and Venkatesh.

However, the film needs a stronger promotional push to build wider buzz. So far, only Narayanamma among Thaman’s songs has been released.
