Anandhi: Brilliant Telugu Talent Remains Unnoticed For Years

Anandhi is finally receiving the recognition she deserves with her new release, Garividi Lakshmi. The film is out in theaters and is doing well, particularly in Uttarandhra, where the story has a strong regional connection.

Director Gowri Naidu deserves appreciation for making a biopic and for roping in young Telugu actress Anandhi for such a crucial film. Though the film has opened to mixed reviews, Anandhi’s performance has emerged as one of the film’s biggest strengths.

Though Anandhi is from Warangal, the way she has mouthed the local dialect and performed in this film has impressed many. Be it her body language or the way she performed, Anandhi gives a settled and sincere performance in the film.

Her performance in the emotional scenes, especially in the climax, is one of the highlights of Garividi Lakshmi. The way she has taken the role of a folk singer and given it her own spin showcases the acting talent she has. The way Anandhi showcases the emotional turmoil her character goes through is the best part of the film.

Over the years, Anandhi has worked in mostly Tamil films; she is yet to get stardom here in Telugu cinema. She was seen in films like Zombie Reddy and Bhairavam, but she is yet to settle as a seasoned actress.

Anandhi is not new to the industry and debuted in Ee Rojullo and did hit films like Bus Stop in 2012 before breaking into Tamil cinema with Kayal in 2014. With Garividi Lakshmi, she has finally proved her ability to carry a challenging role.

As word of mouth is slowly spreading, Anandhi’s work is slowly being recognized by the media and general audience. For any actress, one film could change the game, and many feel that Garividi Lakshmi is that one film that has changed it for Anandhi. Now, the real test begins for her, as one needs to see how she chooses her script and makes the most of her comeback.
