Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad is making his debut as a lead actor while also composing the music for the Pan-India film Yellamma. Presented by Dil Raju and produced by Shirish under the Sri Venkateswara Creations banner, the film is directed by Venu Yeldandi, who earned widespread recognition with Balagam. Yellamma is scheduled for release on March 5 next year.
Meanwhile, DSP has brought together 100 traditional folk rhythm artists from across India to record the film’s title song, creating a unique musical collaboration that celebrates the country’s diverse cultural traditions.
Folk music has always captured the pulse of local communities, with each region contributing its own rhythms, sounds and performance styles. Bringing artists from different parts of the country together for a single recording gives the Yellamma title song a distinctive musical identity.
Expected to be one of the film’s major attractions, the title song will be released soon.
