Despite the massive Ramayana wave at the box office, Suriya’s Scene is enjoying a strong theatrical run. With Ramayana receiving a positive response and its collections increasing during the Diwali weekend nationwide, many expected Scene to face considerable competition.
However, the crime thriller has managed to hold its ground despite good occupancy all over. Even with mixed-to-decent reviews, Scene has benefited from encouraging word of mouth and Suriya’s popularity among moviegoers.
The film collected around ₹80 crore within its first two days, which is particularly impressive given the competition. The ongoing festive season has also provided an excellent opportunity for the movie to attract more audiences.
The Diwali holiday window could play a crucial role in helping Scene maintain its momentum. If the film continues to perform well over the coming days, it could emerge as another major success for Suriya.
Interestingly, Suriya is heading towards a hat-trick of successful films Vishwanath & Sons, and Karuppu this year. The current trends are certainly encouraging, and Scene has demonstrated that strong content despite competition will work at the box office.
Directed by Jithu Madhavan, Scene stars Naslen as the antagonist and Nazriya as the female lead.
