Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many films are opting for a direct digital release. Even big-ticket flicks are also going for an OTT release these days. One such film is Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan starrer Coolie No:1. However, this movie is not getting the response expected by the makers but is creating some forgettable records. It has now become the second-lowest ratings on IMDB.
Within the four days of its release on Amazon Prime Video, Coolie No:1 got a rating of 1.3 on IMDB. Only Sadak 2 (1.1/10) managed to score lower than this comedy caper. The outdated comedy scenes and the misogynist sequences made Coolie No:1 a horrible watch. Even the netizens have unanimously declared it as a dud.
Coolie No:1 is a remake of the 1995 Hindi film of the same name, which itself is a remake of the 1991 Venkatesh-starrer Telugu film. While the older versions were super hits, this new version turned out to be a disastrous affair. We have to see how many forgettable records this David Dhawan directorial film will make in the coming days.
