The prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Awards for South are announced yesterday. Our very own Naveen Polishetty won the awards in Best Actor Telugu Category for his Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya.
Also, Rashmika Mandanna won the Best Actress for Dear Comrade, Sujeeth as Best Director for Saaho, Best music director award for SS Thaman and Jersey won the best film award for 2020. Akkineni Nagarjuna won the award in the ‘Most Versatile Actor’ Category.
In Tamil, Dhanush won the Best Actor award for Asuran. Jyothika won the Best Actress award for Raatchasi, R Parthipen as Best Director for Oththa Seruppu Size 7, Anirudh Ravichander as Best Music Director, and Best Film is To Let. Ajith won the ‘Most Versatile Actor’ award.
In Kannada, the Best film is Mookajjiya Kanasugalu, Rashit Shetty as Best Actor for Avane Srimannarayana, Best Actress is Tanya Hope for Yajamana, Best Director is Ramesh Indra for Premier Padmini, Best Music Director is V Harikrishna. Shiva Rajkumar is the most versatile actor.
In Malayalam, Uyare won in the Best Film category, Best Actor is Suraj Venjaramoodu for Android Kunjappan, Best Actress is Parvathi Thiruvothu for Uyare, Best Director is Madhu C Narayanan for Kumbalangi Nights, Best Music Director is Deepak Dev. The Most Versatile Actor is Mohan Lal.
The awards ceremony of Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival 2021 will be held on 20th February 2021 at Taj Lands End in Mumbai.
