Nag’s ‘Wild Dog’ Gets Fancy Deal From Netflix

Despite the theatres reopening, the OTT releases are not stopping and still there is a good demand for movies on digital release. Accordingly the leading OTT platforms Amazon Prime and Netflix are eyeing many films. King Nagarjuna’s upcoming movie ‘Wild Dog’ is said to have been sold to Netflix.

Highly placed sources say that Netflix offered a whopping Rs 27 crore to Matinee Entertainments and they did not refuse this luring amount. The source further adds that Netflix is planning to premiere ‘Wild Dog’ on its platform on the occasion of Republic Day i.e, on January 26th. ‘Wild Dog’ is a cop drama and Republic Day premiere would be a perfect outing.

Also Matinee Entertainments is in talks for the satellite rights and they are expecting not less than Rs 10 crore. The digital and satellite rights all together make Rs 37 crore which is a huge amount under these circumstances.

Directed by Ahishor Solomon, Nagarjuna is playing the role of Vijay Varma, an NIA officer while it also stars Dia Mirza and Saiyami Kher in the female leads.
