Chiru Locks Iconic Date

Chiranjeevi’s most-awaited period action drama, Acharya, directed by Koratala Siva is all likely to release on May 9, 2021. May 9th has a speciality in Chiranjeevi’s career. It is an iconic date for him and fans have a great memory. Chiranjeevi’s two classic cult films have been released on the same date. Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari and Gang Leader both were released on May 9th itself.

While Jagadeka Veerudu was a fantasy drama featuring Chiru and Sridevi and directed by K Raghavendra Rao, the film was released in 1990. It was a blockbuster that shattered then Box Office records. Even today, the film has a huge fan base. On the other hand, Chiru’s another blockbuster film Gang Leader too was released on May 9th. Gang Leader released the following year i.e 1991. It got a cult status for the film and a huge mass following for Chiranjeevi. Chiru’s mass image was doubled with the Gang Leader.

Now, plans are afoot to release Acharya on May 9, 2021. Chiru and Koratala are working hard to meet the timelines. Charan, who is in quarantine, is soon going to join the sets of Acharya and where director Siva needs to shoot some crucial portions involving the father-son duo. Siva has also planned a song with Chiru and Charan. Charan will be seen in a crucial role and he will have a screen time of over 20 minutes. Siva has planned to shoot with Charan for 30 days. If all goes well, Charan’s portions will be shot in January and they’ll be continued in February.

In March and April, Siva will have enough time for the post-production works. A huge temple set has been erected for the film in about 20 acres and the set has become a talking point. This is said to be India’s biggest movie set till date. Kajal Aggarwal is paired up with Chiru in Acharya.

 Pawan Kalyan’s Pink remake Vakeel Saab is going to hit the screens on April 9, 2021 and Chiranjeevi’s Acharya is going to hit the screens on May 9, 2021. So, it’s going to be a feast for all Mega fans this summer
