Smoking Troubles for Yash’s KGF 2

The teaser of ‘KGF Chapter 2’ met with a roaring response of 150 million views. Fans of Yash have given unanimous thumbs up to the fantastic visuals and the last shot wherein hero Yash fires up the vehicles and lights up the cigarette invited whistles.

Simultaneously this scene has irked the Karnataka health department. Accordingly notices were served to hero Yash, director Prashant Neel and the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce.

The Karnataka State Anti-Tobacco Cell has claimed that the smoking scene in the teaser violated Section 5 of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products (Prohibition of Advertisement and Regulation of Trade and Commerce, Production, Supply and Distribution) 2003. The health department and ant-tobacco cell have asked the makers to delete that particular scene and also complete teaser from the online platforms.

The notice of the health department claimed that smoking scenes should have warning advisory but no such thing is seen in the teaser and so either the scene should be deleted or the teaser should be withdrawn.

The makers of ‘KGF Chapter 2’ are yet to react to it.
