Ram Pothineni is a young hero in Tollywood whose latest film RED is in the theatres. Despite receiving multiple offers from the streaming platforms, the actor opted for a theatrical release. However, the film did not get a desired response from the audience. Interestingly, Ram decided to forego the ‘Energetic Star’ tag for his films. Usually, Ram’s name appears in the titles as ‘Energetic Star Ram Pothineni’ but for RED, it is ‘Ustaad Ram Pothineni’.
After the success of iSmart Shankar, Ram decided to add Ustad to his name in the titles for all his upcoming films. In iSmart Shankar, Ram introduces himself as Ustad iSmart Shankar and it went viral in the masses. Ram’s market also witnessed a change as he is getting better offers in all areas including North.
Ram made his debut with the film Devadasu and it’s been 15 years since the film released. In these 15 years, Ram grew as an actor and did better films. However, he failed to continue the success of iSmart Shankar with RED. Ram pinned high hopes on the festival release but unfortunately, he could not reach the expectations.
