One of the most-awaited upcoming releases in Tamil cinema is Dhanush starrer Jagame Thandhiram. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, this movie was supposed to hit the screens on May 1st last year. However, the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown have ruined the plans. Now, it is being heard that the movie is going to have a direct OTT release.
This news is circling in media for a while now. In many interviews, director Karthik Subbaraj and producer Sasikanth declined them and rumors and asserted that the film will have a theatrical release. But the latest reports suggest that the makers have finally opted for a digital release on Netflix. If the news is true, it is indeed a shocker for the fans as well as the cinema lovers.
An official announcement is expected to be made soon, say the Kollywood sources.
Jagame Thandhiram stars Aishwerya Lakshmi as the female lead. James Cosmo and Sanchana Natarajan have played the other key roles in it. Santosh Narayanan is the music composer of this film.
