Godavari Stories Turning Into A Web Series Now?

Apparently OTT platforms are content that is authentic or something that is close to the nativity of Telugu people. But our filmmakers are busy carving routine formulaic web series that have disappointed everyone. In the wake of that, biggies like Netflix and Hotstar are looking forward to remaking few super hit Telugu novels and books into web series now.

Reports are coming that “Ladies Tailor” movie fame director Nallamilli Bammireddy aka Vamsy’s books have now fascinated a couple of OTT platforms. His books like Ma Pasalapudi Kathalu and the column he writes for Swathi magazine are a super hit as they reflect the common man from the villages of Godavari region. Now they are in talks with the director to turn those books into web series.

However, the director is said to be insisting that he will be directing the series, while a leading OTT platform wants some new director to handle the carving, while Vamsy will be given credits and royalty. If the deal goes well, then Vamsy’s vision of East Godavari villages will be soon saved on Netflix or Amazon Prime, forever.

Coming to films, it has been ages that Vamsy delivered a hit with his last film Fashion Designer S/o Ladies Tailor being a super flop.
