Director Krishna Vamshi attempted a film with Balakrishna Nandamuri a couple of years ago. The film tentatively titled Raithu, reportedly tells a story that revolves around Farmers. Balakrishna liked it immensely and approached Amitabh Bachchan for a crucial role in the film. Amitabh Bachchan declined the offer from Krishna Vamshi and Balakrishna also backed out of the film. Apparently, Balakrishna decided to do the film only if Amitabh is a part of it.
Later, Krishna Vamshi moved on to Rangamarthanda, the official remake of the Marathi film Natasamrat. Now, Krishna Vamshi is planning to pitch Raithu to Megastar Chiranjeevi.
Krishna Vamshi is one of the senior directors in Tollywood. He directed Ram Charan in Govindudu Andharivadele. Ever since the film happened, Krishna Vamsi’s bonding with the Mega family got strengthened. Krishna Vamshi wanted to direct Chiranjeevi before he made political entry but things did not work. During the lockdown, Krishna Vamshi penned a couple of scripts including making changes to Raithu as per Chiranjeevi’s body language.
If the buzz is true, Krishna Vamshi will approach Chiranjeevi soon and pitch the modified script to him. Most likely, the film will hit the floors next year, if Chiru gives his nod.
