Nag Ashwin Played Big Part In My Journey: Vijay

Jathi Ratnalu is undoubtedly one of the most awaited films, though it is a small time film with not so popular stars. Nag Ashwin has produced the film and Anudeep KV directed it with Naveen Polisetty, Priyadarshi and Rahul Ramakrishna in lead roles. The turnout for the film’s pre-release event proves the kind of buzz the film is carrying.

Nag Ashwin stated that though they got huge OTT offers, they wanted to give theatrical experience to audiences. “We wanted to give theatrical experience for you, so waited nearly one year during the pandemic to release it in theatres only,” said he.

Naveen Polisetty called the producers of the film as real Jathi Ratnalu and thanked them for giving him the right platform. “During confusing period, Vyjayanthi Movies gave many of us the right platform, including Vijay. We met at theatre workshop met 10 years ago. We started our journey together Now, there’s national level hysteria around him. Shekar Kammula during Life Is Beautiful auditions said we looked rich. But, we were going through tough times then. It’s most memorable moment in my life. Comedy has the power to give new josh. Let’s enjoy the film in theatres.”

Vijay Deverakonda said, “I’m happy to be here for Nag Ashwin, Naveen and other friends. During lockdown, we had uncertainties whether people will really come to theatres again like earlier. When I went to Mumbai, they spoke highly about the loyalty of Telugu audiences. Nowhere in the world, there are audiences like you.

Nag Ashwin played a big part in my journey. After Life Is Beautiful, he used to cast me in ad films and other projects of him. He gave me important role in Yevade Subrahmanyam.”
