Popular South Indian actor Ponnambalam is fighting for health at a private hospital in Chennai. After falling sick with kidney-related issues, the actor was admitted into a private hospital in Chennai. The doctors suggested Kidney Transplantation surgery for which the actor is in need of financial support.
On Friday, Ponnambalam appealed to the media asking for financial support from everyone.
“I have been facing health issues for the last five years. One of my family members is ready to donate his kidney. With no offers in hand and no savings to rescue, I am asking for financial support from everyone,” appealed Ponnambalam to everyone in the film industry.
Already, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Radhika Sharath Kumar, Dhanush, KS Ravi Kumar, Raghava Lawrence, and others from Kollywood came forward with donations. Ponnambalam is now requesting financial support from Telugu Movie Artists Association.
Ponnambalam started his career as a stuntman and later turned into a full-time actor. The actor predominantly acted in Tamil films and also shined in Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam films. Nattamai, Muthu, Gharana Mogudu, Amarkalam, Pavitra Prema, Chennakesava Reddy, Nuvvu Vasthavani, Julayi, are some of his super hit films.
