Samantha Charges 3 Crs For 5 Months?

Samantha was last seen in the 2020 film Jaanu. After its release, the star actress took a while to sign her next film in Telugu. Finally, she gave her nod to director Gunasekhar’s upcoming movie Shaakuntalam. The regular shooting of this mythological drama will begin soon.

As per the reports, Samantha allotted 150 working days for this film. This is a very huge step, considering the fact that she is a star actress. This also means that Samantha will mostly focus on Shaakuntalam and may not sign any new film soon. Apparently, the Rangasthalam actress is charging a whopping remuneration of Rs. 3 crores for this project.

Shaakuntalam features Malayalam actor Dev Mohan as the lead hero. Gunasekhar is bankrolling the project under his own banner of Guna Team Works. Mani Sharma is composing the music of it. On the flip side, Samantha is also acting in the Tamil film Kathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal. Directed by Vignesh Shivn, this rom-com features Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara in the other lead roles.
