Director Sukumar’s search for the lead villain in Pushpa has come to an end. The Rangasthalam director has roped in Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil to play the antagonist opposite Allu Arjun in Pushpa, the film which is set against the Seshachalam forest backdrop and the film revolves around the red sandalwood smuggling. While Allu Arjun essays the role of a rough & tough lorry driver, Rashmika is playing his romantic interest.
As the film is releasing in multiple languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam simultaneously on 13th August on the eve of Independence Day, Sukumar is roping in actors from various languages to reach out to audiences cutting across regions.
Since Allu Arjun scored an industry blockbuster with Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, he is hoping that Pushpa would further expand his stardom with Sukumar’s trademark filmmaking. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music and the film is being bankrolled on a large scale by Mythri Movie Makers.
