Coinciding with Kangana Ranaut’s birthday, the makers of Thalaivi have unveiled the film’s theatrical trailer today in multiple languages. As the film directed by AL Vijay is all set to hit the screen on April 23rd, the trailer raises the expectations bar further.
Going by the trailer, Thalaivi brings to screen Jayalalithaa’s journey as a stellar actress followed by a dominant political career. The ups and downs in Jayalalithaa’s life are precisely shown and the journey is awe-inspiring. While Arvind Swami played MGR, Samuthirakani will be seen as Karunanidhi.
It’s the legendary MGR who welcomed his co-star Jayalalithaa into politics, wherein his friend Karunanidhi expressed his objection over it. Jalalithaa impressed Delhi leaders with her oratory skills and fluency in speaking English and the episode is included in the trailer which showed all the iconic moments in Jayalalithaa’s career including how she was insulted after MGR’s death.
MGR says, “Nuv Prajalni Premisthe Prajalu Ninnu Premistharu Ade Rajakeeyam,” and there’s huge influence of him on Jayalalithaa in all aspects of her political career.
On the whole, Thalaivi trailer is magical as it not just glorifies the life of Jayalalithaa but also depicts the complications in her film and political career. Technical team gives complete support to AL Vijay in making this a perfect tribute to Jayalalithaa.
Lastly, Kangana Ranaut is outstanding as Amma. Aravind Swami looked apt in the role of MGR. The film is bankrolled by Vishnu Vardhan Induri, Shailesh R Singh and Tirumal Reddy.
