The Dadasaheb Phalke Award is India’s highest recognition in the field of cinema and the 51st award will be presented to south superstar Rajinikanth. Union minister for Information & Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar has announced this news.
Rajinikanth indeed deserves the Dadasaheb Phalke award for his outstanding contribution to cinema. In a span of 45 years, Rajini delivered massive blockbusters that fetched him a huge fan base across India and also all over the world.
However, the timing of award announcement has come when the Tamil Nadu assembly elections are just five days away. The BJP wants Rajinikanth’s support and in order to lure him, this award might have been announced. This is obviously politically motivated move.
Nonetheless Rajini rightfully deserves to be the recipient of Dadasaheb Phalke award.
