Nagarjuna Gave Strength To Bangarraju Rumors?

Akkineni Nagarjuna starrer Kalyan Krishna’s directorial, ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ became a blockbuster in 2016. Ever since the film became a hit, the fans were waiting for a prequel. Nagarjuna already announced a prequel for the film with the title ‘Bangarraju’ with the same director Kalyan Krishna. However, there is a lot of delay in the project and it looks like the actor cum producer Nagarjuna is not happy with the way the script shaped.

The expectations are high on the film which was supposed to get launched for Ugadi last year. But just before the official launch of the movie, the lockdown started. Initially, the project was supposed to take off 2 years back but got delayed several times because of Nagarjuna’s prior commitments. Nagarjuna wanted to take special care of the project and spent ample time on it to make it perfect.

During the promotions of his upcoming movie Wild Dog, Nagarjuna has opened up about ‘Bangarraju’ and said that the script work is in progress. When the makers already prepared themselves for a launch in Ugadi last year, the script work being in progress makes no sense now. There is a talk that Nagarjuna wanted the director to rework on the script as he is not fully satisfied with it. Even in the lockdown, the rumors of the same went viral. With Nagarjuna officially confirming the status of the project, the rumors became true.

However, Kalyan Krishna who has been facing back-to-back disasters lately has been pinned all his hopes on this movie. Let us hope that the project takes off soon.
