Yesterday, rumours of Pawan Kalyan’s recently released film, Vakeel Saab, having its OTT premiere on Amazon Prime on the 25th of this month went viral on social media. Vakeel Saab still needs to collect a big amount to retrieve its buyers’ investments and naturally, the OTT rumours left Pawan Kalyan’s fans deeply anxious.
However, much to relief of all the worried fans, Dil Raju’s production house took to its Twitter handle last night and clarified that Vakeel Saab will not be streamed on any digital platform any soon and asked everyone to watch the movie in cinemas.
And this morning, Dil Raju, who is currently under home isolation after testing positive for COVID-19, released a video wherein he too has assured fans that Vakeel Saab will not be having its digital premiere at least till the 50 days of its release. This would mean that the film may release digitally only in May last week or June first week.
The buzz has it that Amazon Prime Video has acquired Vakeel Saab’s digital premiere rights for a whopping Rs 30 crore. This Sriram Venu directorial also featured Anjali, Nivetha Thomas, Ananya Nagalla, Prakash Raj and Shruti Haasan in lead roles. Vakeel Saab is an official remake of Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee’s Pink.
