Shruti Haasan Was Glad When Her Parents Separated

Multitalented Shruti Haasan is known for speaking frank and straightforward. She did it yet again and said she was glad when their parents got separated.

Shruti Haasan during her recent interview with Zoom Digital talked about her parents Kamal Haasan and Sarika’s separation. She said, ‘ I was glad they separated as I do not think two people who are not getting along, should be forced to get along for some reason,’.

Shruti Haasan also said they continue to be wonderful parents and also revealed she is close to her dad. Shruti called Kamal and Sarika both uniquely wonderful and beautiful people.

While many wonder why one should be glad when their parents get separated by divorce, Shruti’s thinking is simple and clear. She underlines the importance of individuality, and says, ‘They were not that beautiful together anymore. That does not take away their individual beauty as human beings. When they separated, I was very young, and it was very simple, they were happier apart than they were together.’

Kamal Haasan and Sarika got married in 1980 and got divorced in 2004.
